Abstract
We present the results of a new analysis of the SLAC data for deep-inelastic scattering off different nuclei and discuss the relation of x rescaling with other proposed explanations in the light of recent developments. We compare the predictions of perturbative QCD for nuclear parameters with experimental results and find good agreement in the whole measured A range, independently of any model of confinement in nuclear systems.
