Abstract
In recent years the development of technology caused a significant reduction in price of solar panels, resulting in an increase in investment of the construction of solar power plants in the world. The terms and conditions of the solar power plant must provide eligible connection and smooth operating in parallel with the distribution system which include the following: allowed power of the plant, allowed flickers, allowed harmonics currents, short-circuit power, voltage fluctuations due to the simultaneous connection and disconnection of the plant, the voltage variation at steady state and the allowed current of the line conductor. The objective of the study was to present the conditions for connecting solar power plants to the distribution system in Serbia, as well as to show their verification on real examples. Finally, the practices and proposals to increase the share of solar power in the overall balance of power in Serbia are presented.
