April 01 2022 Conjuring the Planetary Mine: Counter-Mapping the Heart of Extractive Capital Christopher Alton, Christopher Alton Christopher Alton is pursuing a PhD at the University of Waterloo. His work looks at the relationship between planning, extraction, and the production of landscapes in Canadian and Mediterranean contexts. He was lead researcher for the Canadian pavilion at the 2016 Venice Biennale of Architecture, is a visiting scholar at the Centre for Biocultural Landscape and Seascape in Sardinia, and is a Lecturer at Ryerson University. He holds an MDes from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
