Abstract

“It's fun,” says Winston Tao, AGU's 1993–1994 Congressional Fellow, of his stint on the personal staff of Rep. George Brown Jr. (D‐Calif.), who chairs the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.Along with covering environment, energy, technology, and science policy for Brown, Tao, who received his Ph.D. in geophysics from Harvard University in 1992, also works with members of the committee to produce legislation and to set up hearings.
