Abstract

Two infants, one full term and the other premature, presented symptoms of "congenital stippled epiphyses" (dysplasia epiphysialis punctata, chondrodystrophia calcificans congenita). The outstanding characteristics of the entity are the presence of multiple, discrete, dense calcifications in many cartilaginous epiphyses and apophyses. The diagnosis, necessarily, rests upon roentgenographic examinations.
