Abstract

Congenital entropion is a rare condition affecting the lower eyelid more commonly than the upper eyelid. We describe a case of congenital lower eyelid entropion in a 3-week-old with corneal ulceration, likely present in utero. The child had successful repair of entropion with Quickert everting sutures and reformation of the lower eyelid skin crease. At 3 months post-surgery, the lid position and corneal ulcer have resolved. The use of non-incisional rotational eyelid surgery for the repair of congenital entropion is quick and simple with good surgical outcomes.
