Abstract
Evidence of congenital icthyosis association with cutaneous infections is limited to case reports. We conducted a nested case-control study assessing congenital ichthyosis associations with cutaneous infections using a large national database. Congenital ichthyosis patients vs. controls had higher odds of onychomycosis, tinea corporis, verruca vulgaris, and tinea pedis.
