Abstract

In this issue of The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Jiang and colleagues1 present data from 167 adult patients with anomalous aortic origin of coronary artery. They have made an excellent effort to obtain clinical data from different sources within the institution. This study is valuable because most of the existing data are from predominantly pediatric literature, and therefore, a study exclusively of adults (>18 years of age) may potentially show a different perspective. This study starts with identification of 645 patients entered in the billing database of a single institution over a 2-year period.
