Abstract

The study “O Enfrentamento à Transfobia no IFPA- Campus Belém: percepções sobre a Resolução 363/2017” aimed to investigate the level of knowledge of the Campus Belém community about the institutional policy to combat transphobia at the IFPA. We sought to understand how the Social Name Use Policy is implemented in practice and what is the community's knowledge of Resolution 363/2017-CONSUP-IFPA, that guarantees this right. In addition, we investigated the perceptions of teachers, students and administrative technicians about Trans students. It was a quantitative and qualitative research with documental, bibliographic and field searches, through the application of questionnaires. The literature review was based on contributions from authors such as (2000), Peres (2009), Rios (2009), Alves e Moreira (2015), Bento (2002), Junqueira (2009), Lima Neto, Cavalcanti e Gleyse (2018). As a result, there was a significant lack of knowledge of the Resolution 363/2017 and the urgency of continuing education for the servers on gender identity, gender and sexuality, as a strategy to guarantee a human, critical and citizenly formation for all the subjects of Vocational and Technological Education.
