Abstract
Conformal array has a shape that highly matches the physical structure of the ship superstructure. However, during the long-term operation of the antenna, array element failure will seriously affect the radiation pattern. In order to correct the pattern of the failure element, a method of correcting the pattern of the conformal array based on particle swarm optimization(PSO) and cuckoo search(CS) hybrid algorithm is proposed in this paper. First, with the help of Euler rotation, the ideal and failure far-field pattern of the conformal array are synthesized. Second, the initial parameters of the PSO-CS algorithm are established, the amplitude and phase of the element excitation of the conformal array is adjusted to get the optimization model of the algorithm. Last, the simulation results are analyzed and compared which show that the algorithm can effectively optimize the radiation pattern of the failed array element and improve the overall similarity of the pattern and the first sidelobes.
