Abstract

The research carried out aims to understand how educational and pedagogical innovation is configured in seven schools in the Rafael Uribe Uribe locality. The research is framed in a qualitative approach of a hermeneutical nature and was developed through semi-structured interviews with school managers and teachers about their relationship with educational innovation taking into account the framework of public policy, pedagogical practices and school culture. The results show that educational and pedagogical innovation in the locality is framed within a social perspective that emphasizes assuming it as a means to solve the most significant problems affecting the school. In addition, it is recognized that the heuristic model of innovation is the most prevalent at schools of the public sector and the transformation actions resulting from the implementation promoted by some teachers from their pedagogical practice without ever modifying the PEI (Institutional educational project) of the schools .
