Abstract

Confidentiality is an important aspect of professionalism. Doctors are bound to face challenges to this long-standing obligation during the course of their daily practice. Patient confidentiality is taught in medical schools worldwide but the curriculum and teaching methodology varies widely. In our institution, confidentiality and other ethical issues are taught by way of didactic lectures during the second year MBBS course.
