Abstract
Brief comments are given on results reported at Yamada Conference II on Electronic Properties of Two-Dimensional Systems, held at Lake Yamanaka, Japan, 3–6 September 1979, the third international conference on this subject, and on other developments since the previous Conference held at Berchtesgaden in 1977.
