Abstract

Nowadays the use of distributed energy resources is progressively more pursued as a complement of conventional power systems. As a result, the number of installed PV systems is increasing due to the advan tages they have over conventional resources. Recent advances in power el ectronics and new materials for photovoltaic systems make this resour ce one of the most important energy renewable resources for the future. This sys tem consists of modules (solar panels), inverters, converters, chargers and batteries, that work together in order to convert dc electricity into ac electric ity with high efficiency. In some configurations battery storage methodology could be use at night or during blackouts.
