Abstract
lh e purpose of the protrusive jaw relation record is to adjust the condylar elements of the articulator so that they will present inclinations which are, as nearly as possible, similar or equivalent to those in the temporomandibular articulation. Most adjustable articulators for complete denture procedures will receive a protrusive interocclusal relation record, and the horizontal condylar inclination will adjust so that the’ instrument performs protrusive movements equivalent, but not identical, to the relative movements of the mandible to the maxillae.
