Abstract
Specific electrical conductivities in ternary melts of the system CaOSiO 2MnO with 55 to 26 mole% SiO 2 was measured from the liquidus temperature to 1550 °C. Knowing the molar volume of the melts, the equivalent electrical conductivities were calculated. A structural interpretation is given in view of the known theories about structure of silicate melts.
