Abstract
It is well known that the cerebrospinal fluid pressure fluctuates with the heart beat. There are a few reports concerning the use of the form and amplitude of the CSF pulse in presupposing intracranial compliance but little is known about how the impulse of the CSF pulse is transmitted through the brain tissue. In order to determine whether the pulse conduction time from the heart to the parietal epidural region presupposes intracranial compliance or not, the following experiments were performed on 13 dogs.
