Abstract
The conductivity of binary molten mixtures of (AgAlkali)Br has been measured by a four-electrode method with ac, for (AgNa)Br, (AgK)Br, (AgRb)Br and (AgCs)Br molten mixtures at different compositions and temperatures. Conductance by charge transfer, of Grotthuss type, is considered in molten media that contain a partially covalent compound. The equivalent conductivity variations are connected with the partial covalent of silver bromide and the cation size.
