Abstract

P257 Conditions of Source Rock Potential Formation in Eocene Deposits of Caucasian-Scythian Region L. Distanova* (Lomonosov Moscow State University) & O.K. Bazhenova (Lomonosov Moscow State University) SUMMARY Carbon-containing Eocene deposits are characterized by hightened and high source rock potential of OM which formation was caused by high-lipid algal planktongenic initial organic matter. EAGE 69 th Conference & Exhibition — London UK 11 - 14 June 2007 Source rock potential is determined by potential of organic matter contained in rocks and capacity of their thickness. Source rock potential value depends mainly on composition and quantity of bioproducers extinction conditions – Thanatocoenosis
