Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to review a number of conditions of practice and feedback (sometimes referred to as principles of motor learning) in relation to treatment for apraxia of speech (AOS). Methods: A narrative review of pertinent literature is provided. Conclusions: Although there has been little systematic study of these conditions in treatment for AOS, the emerging evidence is consistent with the idea that conditions of practice and feedback have similar effects in treatment for AOS as those seen in the motor learning literature.
