Abstract

This paper proposes the detection of broken rotor bar of induction motor. The motor condition of the rotor bar which is either healthy or unhealthy can be found by using condition monitoring technique which is also used for detecting the fault in induction motor. The three phase induction motor are most popular in various industry domains. The early detection of induction motor faults help to find the fault in the machine. It can prevent the motor failure and financial loss of the motor due to the damaging that occurred during the process. To monitor the condition of induction motor, it requires Voltage, Current and Vibration signals from the laboratory experiments to differentiate the healthy and unhealthy conditions of the induction motor rotor bar. The method is non-invasive (Offline) and hence it will not affect the running process. This condition monitoring technique is rooted onto the signal processing and the classifier.
