Abstract
1. There is obtained from the condensation of 2-monohydroperfluoroisobutane with benzoylacetylene or with the dimethyl ester of acetylenedicarboxylic acid in the presence of triethylamine, 1-(perfluoro-t-butyl)-2-benzoylethylene or the dimethyl ester of perfluoro-t-butylethylene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid respectively. 2. The ease of elimination of fluoride ion by the action of base on the condensation products of 2-monohydroperfluoroisobutane with compounds containing activated C≡C bonds has been discovered.
