Abstract

In this age of psychological testing, great em phasis has been placed upon the student's abilities and interests to the neglect of underlying vocational values and desires which might well preceed and ac count for the development of interests. However, the basic question, What do I really want from a job? is so essential that an attempt needs to be made to introduce high school students to this fun damental problem. To do this, an instrument is needed which has some evidence of validity in this area. Previous research in the area of vocational val ues has not been extensive but does seem to indicate: 1.
