Abstract

The distribution of the acoustic field can be calculated by means of the concurrent algorithm. This approach allows to enhance greatly the overall efficiency of such an algorithm. This is especially essential when the algorithm can be reduced to a series of simple independent calculations. In this case the reduction of the time of calculations can be almost a linear function of the combined computing power of all cluster nodes. This paper presents the concurrent algorithm based on the spatial impulse response method. Also the implementation of the algorithm on an openMosix cluster to calculate the distribution of the acoustic field generated by multitransducer ultrasound heads is presented.
