Abstract
One main purpose of this book is to stimulate discussion on the serious problems connected with one important aspect of the recent changes in chemical climate, viz., the increased atmospheric deposition of nitrogen compounds. An early mimeographed version served as a background paper at the Nordic/UN-ECE Workshop: Critical Loads for Sulphur and Nitrogen, March 21–24, Skokloster, Sweden.
