Abstract

We have demonstrated the completeness of our model for digital projections by showing that it supports a discrete version not only of the Radon transform, but also of the inverse Radon transform. We have also shown the feasibility of fast, real-time implementation of these operators through the use of a powerful pipeline architecture (P3E), which supports a wide variety of projection-based image analysis and image processing tasks. We have surveyed and presented several image analysis and image processing algorithms that are easily mapped onto P3E. We have shown favorable results for a variety of reconstruction techniques and applications.KeywordsImage AnalysisComputer VisionDigital ImageFavorable ResultAlgorithm AnalysisThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
