Abstract
This book, “Case Studies on Wildlife Ecology and Conservation in India,” is a beautifully designed thematic book with three main themes: (i) Resource selection in protected and non-protected areas, (ii) human-wildlife interactions, and (iii) landscape ecology and conservation. The book has been conceptualised so that all the chapters are interconnected and have been organised under the sub-themes. Each has discussed the conceptual and methodological issues in the initial part before venturing into data analysis collected from the field and conclusions. This book aims to provide a broader viewpoint on wildlife ecology and conservation to students, researchers, scientists, and other readers in the form of case studies and captures wildlife enthusiasts’ interests. Furthermore, it would be beneficial for policy-makers, wildlife administrators, and conservators. Altogether, this book will certainly add to the list of essential reading for anyone interested in working in the discipline of wildlife ecology and conservation. Indeed, with such a broad theme, this book deserves a space on the shelf of every library in the world.
