Conclusion

Abstract

This concluding chapter brings together the main findings of the book, highlighting the key themes and arguments that emerged from each of the chapters. The chapter reflects on the themes of neoliberalism and the VCS’ role in peacebuilding, and it locates the Northern Irish experience in a broader European context. We conclude with some questions that can form the basis of future research into the role and nature of the voluntary and community sector in the region.
