As we look to the future and as society continues to become even more interconnected and complex, the next generation of supply chain leaders can use the fundamentals from this book to create the next great supply chain. Becoming the next Marco Polo requires using and developing six fundamental areas of expertise that have been discussed in this textbook. This book has focused on learning how to navigate the complex world of building and facilitating a supply chain, and stepping into the role and learning how to become a supply chain leader.
