Concluding remarks

Abstract

Professor Tilley in his closing remarks said that members of the Conference were greatly indebted to the Royal Society for sponsoring the meeting and providing all the facilities which had meant so much towards its success. They were also indebted to the generous support of the international bodies S.C.O.R., I.U.G.S., I.U.G.G./I.A.P.S.O. and U.M.C. which strengthened the international representations at the Sessions. On behalf of members of the Conference it was a privilege for him to extend to the organizers, Sir Edward Bullard, Dr Cann and Dr Matthews the warmest congratulations on their most effective work in the preparation and running of a most productive meeting.
