Publisher Summary This chapter presents concluding remarks on digestion in nonruminant herbivorous animals. Dr. Buraczewski exposed new researches on selective amino acid absorption in the small and large intestine of the pig. The chapter discusses the digestibility of nutrients in the ileum tract versus the cecum tract of the intestine. It presents the observations on the the possible synthesizing activity of the intestinal epithelial cell from inorganic to organic nitrogen. The chapter discusses the recent results on the functionality of the rabbit digestive apparatus, illustrating numerous microscopical and submicroscopical scansion pictures of several tracts. It also discusses the secretion of Lieberkuhn's crypts mucous cells in the hindgut.
