Concert hall design is known to be a compromise between construction features (such as the architecture/shape of the hall and the number of seats) and sound qualities (such as the clarity, loudness, and reverberation). In this article, the physical properties of unamplified concert halls and their connection to the perception of music and reverberation by humans are discussed
