Abstract
교육과정 개념으로서의 쿠레레는 교육과정의 재개념화에 기여하였으며 연구방법으로서 쿠레레는 교사교육과 교육과정 탐구의 발전에 지대한 영향을 미쳤다. 하지만 지금까지 쿠레레 관련 연구 담론을 전체적으로 분석한 논문이 등장하지 않았다. 이에 연구자는 교사교육과 교육과정 분야에서 이루어진 쿠레레 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 먼저 쿠레레의 개념, 연구방법적 절차와 특징, 핵심 연구 개념, 그리고 철학적 기초를 논의하였다. 연구자는 국내·외 쿠레레 연구들에 대한 문헌연구를 수행하였다. 분석결과는 연구주제 그리고 연구방법 적용의 유형의 두 관점에서 제시하였다. 쿠레레 관련 연구 주제와 관련하여 연구자는 ‘교사의 교육과정 실천 이해’, ‘예비교사의 주관성 탐구’, ‘학생들의 학습 경험 탐구’, ‘교육과정 개발과 평가’, ‘쿠레레의 가치와 의미 탐구’의 다섯 가지 주제로 분류하여 논의하였다. 연구방법 적용 유형의 측면에서는 ‘쿠레레 철학적 탐구’, ‘엄밀한 쿠레레 적용’, ‘쿠레레 연구/프로젝트 메타 분석’, ‘쿠레레 요소의 부분적 활용’, ‘쿠레레 방법의 응용’으로 논의하였다. 나아가 연구자는 우리나라 교육과정 연구를 위한 쿠레레 활용의 가치와 가능성을 제언하였다.Currere, as a curricular concept, has contributed to reconceptualization of curriculum studies, and as an autobiographical method, it had great influence on the development of research methodologies in curriculum studies. Yet, no research has been conducted to build the overall discourse of currere related studies. In this respect, this review article aims to review currere-applied researches in teacher education and curriculum studies. To do so, the researcher first discussed the meaning of the concept, phases and characteristics of the method, central research concepts, and philosophical and theoretical foundations of the method. The researcher conducted a holistic literature review of currere-applied researches both in South Korea and overseas. The result of the literature review was presented in terms of research topics of curriculum studies and the application strategies of the method. In terms of application strategies, the researcher categorized existing currere-applied researches into five categories such as ‘philosophical inquiry on currere’, ‘rigorous application of the autobiographical method’, ‘meta-analysis of currere inquiry/projects’, ‘partial application of the method’, and ‘development of research concepts and methods using currere’. For currere-applied research, it is defined into 5 categories of ‘understanding teachers’ curriculum practice’, ‘understanding pre-service teachers’ subjectivities’, ‘understanding students’ learning experiences’, ‘development and evaluation of curriculum’, and ‘theoretical discussion on the value and meanings of the concept and the method’. The discussion focus lies on the research findings, central concepts and issues, and implications for curriculum studies. In conclusion, the researcher provided suggestions for educational researchers in terms of how currere might open new curriculum research topics in South Korea.
