Abstract

Organizations are very complex systems composed of many different levels of analysis including human activities. Like-wise motivation as a tool of retaining dedicated employee for optimum performance. However, this cannot be achieved without a cogent Leadership style. The objective of this paper is to examine the concept of transformational leadership in terms of motivation and retention of employees’ as a combined construct considering job engagement and employee satisfaction towards subordinate performance. The paper is a purely literary or library-based research work. Hence, its data are obtained from secondary sources only: textbooks, journals, reports, research thesis, project works among others. The findings of study established positive relationship between the twins constructs of Motivation and Retention with Transformational leadership style utilizing employee engagement and job satisfaction. The study can be replicated through survey research where data can be obtained in the field and analyzed to ascertain its validity to stand the test of time.
