Abstract

The author discusses feedback and echo control as well as noise reduction systems, which allow the same speech quality and loudness in hands-free communication which exists in a natural dialogue. The effectiveness of feedback compensation, echo cancellation, and multichannel adaptive noise filtering schemes is analyzed and was compared in acoustical demonstrations with that of conventional methods like echo suppression or gain control. >
