Abstract

AbstractMason discusses his work in attempting to leach concepts in biology to primary grade children. As a key to the understanding of these concepts he sees a need for filling the vacuum that lies between mathematics and the material world. Results obtained from working with children in terms of applying mathematics to biology are encouraging.
