Abstract
For technical and economical evaluations of solar power plant, the comparisons from technical points and electricity cost are presented on the solar plant with the heliostats based on new material and configurations because the collector system consisted of many heliostats, generally, occupies more than 50 % of total construction cost of the solar power plant. The improved types of heliostats provide smooth movement of sun tracking, strong resistance aginst wind and earthquake and good accuracy of mirror for reflection. According to the improved designs of solar power plants, each unit cost per kWe is examined. (a) Single supporting column and double supporting column of heliostat mirror. (b) New material and original material for supporting the mirror membranes.
