Abstract

This paper describes a system with a fine spatial resolution for fluctuating gas concentration measurement, based on the detection of hydrocarbons by flame ionization. Elements of the development and performance of the equipment are described. Some wind-tunnel results, where the tracer gas decay method was used at small scale to measure ventilation rates on a model, are also reported.
