Abstract

Web information gathering surfers from the problems of information mismatching and overloading. In an attempt to solve these fundamental problems, many works have proposed to use concept-based techniques to perform personalized information gathering for Web users. These works have significantly improved the performance of Web information gathering systems. In this paper, a survey is conducted on these works. The reviewed scholar report that the concept-based, personalized techniques can gather more useful and meaningful information for Web users.
