Abstract

An increasing interest in the popular culture of the Polish People’s Republic has been noticeable in recent years. This is evidenced by numerous multimodal texts, including crime stories, the so-called militia crime stories. They provide an interesting research material for the contemporary media linguistics. In the author’s opinion, developing this type of research will contribute to broadening the knowledge of persuasion mechanisms and Polish cultural memory
