Abstract

Automation and intelligence become an important direction for spaceborne SAR development, because of the requirements of rapid, accurate and flexible information acquisition. In this paper, a concept of spaceborne smart SAR is proposed. The system obtains some known information by means of environmental perception, and then adaptively selects observation targets and modes to achieve the optimal performance. The system structure, working principle, mission execution process and corresponding constraints of smart SAR are introduced. And an example of observation mission simulation is given.
