Abstract
In this paper, it is briefly introduced the present research situation about the technology of ground source heat pumps (GSHP) at home and abroad. It is described the basic advantages of GSHP technology. It is put forward the idea to apply the GSHP technology to the filed of preventing highway surface freezing and reducing disaster. It is pointed out that the main problems need to research when applying GSHP technology to prevent highway surface freezing and reduce disaster. It is also expected the broad application prospect of GSHP technology applying to the field of preventing highway surface freezing and reducing disaster.
