Abstract

Balb c3T3 cells were grown near confluency in media supplemented with 10% fetal calf serum and than exposed for 24 hours to media containing different phosphatidylcholines bound to delipidated fetal calf serum. Compared to cells grown in regular media, 3T3 cells exposed to media containing dioleoyl-phosphatidylcholine dramatically increased their agglutinability by Concanavalin A. Exposure to several other phosphatidylcholines had no effect.
