Abstract

It is considered that Unified Communications (UC) is an integrated voice, data and video which converges telephony messaging and collaboration applications that seek to improve work processes and employee productivity whole. The effects of UC fall into two categories: cost reduction and increased productivity. The objective of this research is to develop a framework that allows a comprehensive assessment of the value of unified communications and strategic alignment in a services sector to respond to the central question: How can a comprehensive assessment of unified communications to ensure strategic alignment for competitiveness in a services sector? This research employs a qualitative research method, in order to understand the indicators they perceive those involved in the projects of unified communications. The identified indicators are incorporated Scord Card Balance for a more complete measurement of the benefits of UC. A case study of a services dedicated to the sale and implementation of unified communications industry is presented. The results of the research are the basis for developing a BSC applied to UC system that could be used as a reference for making the business case to potential customers level.
