Abstract

This paper will describe how computers are and could be utilized in industrial engineering education from perspectives of the University of Toledo. The paper will show the status and scope of computer usage in industrial engineering education at the University of Toledo. This will be discussed by giving examples of the computer hardware and software used in typical industrial engineering courses such as: Work Design and Measurement, Engineering Economy, Operations Research, Quality Control, Computer-Aided Manufacturing, Human Factors, Management Information Systems, Facility Planning and Design, and Simulation.
