Abstract
The authors will show how they managed to raise and maintain the interest of their students by introducing the use of computers and by making the students participate in software development. They will present all the necessary ingredients to achieve this goal. Also, they will take the opportunity to present a couple of useful software applications which have been developed by the students under their guidance.
