Abstract
The contents of this paper cover: (i) conjugation of surfaces or rotors, (ii) synthesis of rotor surfaces with two lines of contact, (iii) avoidance of singularities, and (iv) investigation of influence of misalignment on the backlash between the surfaces. The developed theory is illustrated with numerical examples. Computer programs for numerical solutions have been developed.
