Abstract

ABSTRACTUnlike any other reference currently available, Computerized Adaptive and Multistage Testing with R: Using Packages catR and mstR (Magis, Yan, & von Davier, 2017) deftly presents both the knowledge and practice of adaptive testing and seamlessly bridges the gap between them. This phenomenal book is a rare achievement that serves as a valuable reference for both novices and experts alike, and as such belongs on the shelves of anyone with an interest in adaptive testing. At present, we know of no other introductory text that is as uniquely poised to convert inert spectators into dynamically competent users of computerized adaptive testing (CAT) and multistage testing (MST).
