Abstract

SUMMARYThe demonstration that Addison's disease has a tuberculous aetiology has important therapeutic implications. While conventional radiographic methods of demonstrating this disease are often unhelpful, computerised tomography is an excellent technique for demonstrating the morphology of normal and abnormal adrenal glands. This report describes the important contribution computerised tomography played in the diagnosis of a case of tuberculous Addison's disease.
