Abstract

The predominance area diagrams in the roasting of sulfides have found increasing applications. The construction of such diagrams involves many calculations and is a time-consuming and laborious job. Use of a computer for the construction of these diagrams reduces the time and labor required. This work describes a computer program which can plot the predominance area diagrams at various temperatures and for different systems. The data needed are the standard free-energy values of the different species.
